Data Integration for Effective Corporate Communication

In a world where energy is an intangible product, effective corporate communication is essential to shaping public perception and achieving business success. 

 

EnBW faced the challenge of gaining clearer insights into its communication efforts. The absence of centralized data structures led to fragmented information, high manual workload, and untapped strategic potential. 

 

The objective was to develop a data-driven solution that could make communication performance measurable and strengthen its strategic impact. 

Solution

A Centralized Data Landscape for a 360-Degree Perspective

To tackle these challenges, EnBW partnered with Jung von Matt NECKAR and netzeffekt to build an integrated communications platform enabling data-driven communications management.

 

At the core of the solution was the creation of a centralized data landscape that unified media coverage, social media activity, and content from EnBW’s corporate website. AI was used to enrich this data with metadata, making it possible to analyze and connect communication initiatives across topics and channels. 

 

This foundation enables deeper topic-specific analysis and provides a holistic view of communication priorities. 

 

Three customized dashboards were developed: 

  • Management Dashboard: Supports strategic decision-making and prioritization of communication topics. 

  • Topic Dashboard: Analyzes the performance of individual topics across all channels. 

  • 360° Dashboard: Empowers operational teams to track the success of ongoing campaigns and content in real time.
